Springtime in New Mexico brings wind and sunny skies, creating perfect conditions for the free 18th Annual Kite Festival. Join the fun as kites fill the skies with colorful shapes of all sizes throughout the weekend. Visitors can bring their own kite, buy one at the Festival, or watch professional stunt kite fliers maneuver kites expertly in the wind. All ages have fun participating in the kite flying contests or flying their own kites on the large grass fields. Kites will be available for sale.

Admission to the Festival kite field is free and admission to the Wildlife West Zoo is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for students and children 4 and younger are free. Visitors can get close to the 20 species of native New Mexico wildlife in the Zoo, including 4 adorable tree climbing grey foxes.
