Open House & Celebration

The Independent invites you to stop in anytime between 10am-6pm for refreshments during an Open House, or come at 6:00pm for the “Payoff Party” celebrating its final payment and now full ownership of The Independent. The newspaper also has 7 recent award from the New Mexico Press Association to celebrate, including 1st Place for General Excellence. Cookies, caroling, cocoa, live music and traditional holiday meal are all part of the fun.
