Outgoing Edgewood Chamber of Commerce board member, Martha Eden, was recognized by board President, James Reader, and fellow members for her long-time service at the February chamber lunch meeting. Eden, an Associate Broker at ReMax Western Heritage in Edgewood, had served on the chamber board for the better part of a decade.
“My heart is really with the chamber,” Eden said, clearly touched by the recognition.
With a rapidly-growing chamber, Eden felt it was time to make way for new member businesses to get involved, and did not run for re-election to the board. She plans to continue her support and participation in chamber and community activities.
An accomplished woman, Eden worked many years on Wall Street after receiving her B.A. in Economics from Vassar College and attending New York University School of Business — a surprising skill set to find in rural New Mexico. Eden is also a skilled horse woman and long-time member of High Desert Riders in Edgewood.
