Our chamber has steadily grown to be the largest, most active organization supporting business and community prosperity in this region. Our membership includes more than 150 local businesses serving communities from the mountains to Estancia. After several years of effort, we are excited to announce, effective September 1, 2020, Greater Edgewood Area Chamber will now be known as Greater East Mountain Chamber of Commerce (GEM).
This name change represents a natural progression to better reflect our membership from throughout the region. Our new logo was carefully designed to maintain familiar brand identity while assuring all members feel recognized within our organization’s name. These changes are fully supported by our board, whose perspective as business owners and community members in Edgewood, Moriarty, and Tijeras provides the chamber with valuable input and representation from all areas of our region.
During this transitional period you will see our website rebranded and logo updated in various places. We will continue to provide the same benefits, newsletters, and promotional opportunities that you have come to expect. New membership certificates will be issued to reflect the name change.
Although 2020 has certainly not been the year any of us expected, but we hope this name change provides an opportunity to reflect on the significance and valuable contributions of our business community and of the importance of working together to support prosperity throughout our East Mountain communities.
