Congrats & Appreciation
Congratulations to The Independent, our local Edgewood newspaper, was recently recognized by New Mexico Press Association, receiving First Place-Headline Writing; and Second Place-Website (built with the help of James Reader of Computer Shack). The Independent’s editor, Leota Harriman, was also elected to serve in 2017 as Second Vice President of the NM Press Association.
MANY Thanks to Hug-a-Horse Thrift Shop for providing refreshments and hosting last week’s ECoC Autumn Mixer in their newly-expanded showroom. Nearly 40 members and prospective members attended. We also thank Simple Abundance Consignment Store, whose custom Chamber-logo mugs were a big hit as door prizes (Debbie can do your logo or design too). And, more thanks to RE/MAX Western Heritage, SASS, PM2 Marketing, Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union, and Computer Shack for providing additional refreshments.
